Sections of a lymph node needle-core biopsy specimen show a nodular pattern with follicular hyperplasia on H&E (A, ×200). Staining for CD79a (B, ×200) shows a “zonal pattern” with weakly positive germinal centers and strongly positive mantle zones, characteristic of benign hyperplastic follicles. Staining for Bcl-6 and Bcl-2 (C and D, ×200) shows germinal centers positive for Bcl-6 but negative for Bcl-2.
