This image shows the cover of the 1893 sheet music edition of “Cairo Street Waltz.” The title of the piece is in the upper right of the image, the price (50 cents) and publisher (Signor Guglielmo Ricci) are listed at the bottom, and the main image is a full-color drawing of the Street in Cairo exhibit at the World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago: Multiple dark-skinned men in flowing robes circulate through the scene as a light-skinned couple in Western dress observe the scene from the far-left portion of the image. A woman who seems to be dancing is depicted within a tambourine in the top left-hand quadrant of the cover.
