The British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) was founded over 100 years ago. It is the professional membership body for dermatologists in the UK and is focused on developing educational content and courses, facilitating and publishing dermatology research, running dermatology registries, holding dermatology events and conferences, promoting innovation in dermatology care, and engaging with decision-makers and stakeholders within the dermatology community and wider health system.

OUP manages the BAD's two official journals.

First published in 1888, the British Journal of Dermatology (BJD) has evolved into one of the world’s leading general dermatology journals., which publishes the highest-quality research to advance the understanding and management of skin disease to improve patient outcomes, focusing on epidemiology, clinical trials, translational research, and guidelines. The BJD brand is underpinned by the provision of trusted information and encourages contributions from professionals worldwide.

Clinical and Experimental Dermatology (CED) provides educational material for practicing clinicians and dermatological researchers. It is the educational journal of the BAD which attracts globally relevant contributions from around the world.

Aesthetic Surgery

Oxford University Press publishes two award winning aesthetic surgery journals - both are official publications of The Aesthetic Society

Aesthetic Surgery Journal (ASJ)  is a peer-reviewed, international journal focusing on scientific developments and clinical techniques in aesthetic surgery. ASJ is also the official English-language journal of many major international societies of plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery representing South America, Central America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. It is also the official journal of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, the Canadian Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and The Rhinoplasty Society.

Aesthetic Surgery Journal Open Forum is a peer-reviewed, open access international journal. Focusing on the latest developments and practical, clinical advances in aesthetic surgery and cosmetic treatments. ASJ Open Forum is the premier open access journal in aesthetic surgery.
