CORRECTION TO ISSUE 59

In Jerry White's article, ‘From Herbert Morrison to Command and Control: the Decline of Local Democracy and its Effect on Public Service’, a figure was accidentally omitted on p. 75. The last sentence of the penultimate paragraph should read: ‘In 1936–37 77% of LCC expenditure – including on London's schools – was borne by local revenues, mainly through the rates.’
