Special issue on Fuzzy logic, Computation and Applications
Guest Editor
Juntao Wang, Xi’an Shiyou University
Scope
Nowadays, fuzzy logic has covered more and more aspects of natural and social science, from mathematics, physics and computer science to philosophy, cognitive science and linguistics, and has found application in virtually all aspects of information technology, from software engineering and hardware to programming and artificial intelligence. Indeed, fuzzy logic, artificial intelligence, cognitive science and theoretical computing are influencing each other to the extent that a new interdisciplinary area of fuzzy logic and computation is emerging.
In recent years, scholars have made a great effort to promote logical research and have achieved great success in the aspects of fuzzy logic and computation, mainly include multi-valued logic, algebraic logic, monadic fuzzy predicate logic, fuzzy tense logic, modal fuzzy logic, aggregation function and fuzzy implication, automated reasoning.
Topics of Interest
This special issue aims to provide an opportunity for researchers worldwide to share their novel ideals, original research achievements, and practical experiences in a broad range of fuzzy logic and computation. Topics include, but are certainly not limited to:
- Multi-valued logic
- Monadic fuzzy predicate logic
- Algebraic logic
- Temporal logic and Dynamic logic
- Aggregation function and Fuzzy implication
- Logic programming and Logic-based approaches
Submissions should be written in English and are expected to contain relevant new logical results that are of significant interest to a substantial number of logicians. All submissions must comply with the submission guidelines of the Logic Journal of the IGPL and will be peer reviewed according to the high standards of the Journal.
Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Deadline
Submission deadline: 30 June, 2025
How to submit
Submissions should be sent to Jane Spurr at [email protected] with “IGPLs-FLCA submission” in the subject line. For more information, please contact the Guest Editor: [email protected]
Peer review process
Upon receipt of a manuscript the Editor-in-Chief (EiC) will make an initial assessment of suitability for review (e.g., language, scope, quality). The EiC will invite a Handling Editor for the manuscript from the usual pool of editors. The Handling Editor will seek at least 2 independent reviews by experts in the field and may seek recommendations for independent reviewers from the Guest Editor. Guest Editors are vetted by the EiC and complete Conflict of Interest disclosure forms prior to involvement with a Collection.
Why publish with us:
Discover some benefits of publishing with the Logic Journal of the IJPL.
Open access:
The Logic Journal of the IJPL is a hybrid journal which means that you can choose whether or not to publish under an open access licence. Please consult the details of open access licences and charges. If you select an open access licence, you must pay the open access charge or request to use an institutional agreement to pay the open access charge through the Journals Licencing and Online Payments portal.
OUP has a growing number of open access agreements with institutions and consortia, which provide funding for open access publishing (also known as Read and Publish agreements). This means corresponding authors from participating institutions can publish open access, and the institution may pay the charge. Find out if your institution has an open access agreement.
To be eligible for one of OUP’s Read and Publish agreements, the corresponding author must provide their qualifying institution as their primary affiliation when they submit their manuscript. After submission, changing the corresponding author in order to access Read and Publish funding is not permissible.
