Open Call for Proposals for Symposia
The Editors of the British Journal of Aesthetics welcome ideas for symposia. A symposium is a collection of three to five papers, all on a single theme. Each paper should not exceed 5000 words and should conform to the journal guidelines. All papers will be required to go through the usual peer-review process, and they will not be published as a symposium unless at least three of the papers are accepted for publication (if fewer than three papers are accepted, they will be considered for independent publication).
Submissions will be judged, in part, on their helping achieve the journals aspirations for diversity, including the representation of women and minority groups. A proposal should specify the theme and the names of up to five authors who have agreed to submit papers, as well as a short rationale justifying the relevance of the symposium. Proposals should be sent as email attachments to the editors, Paloma Atencia-Linares ([email protected]) and Derek Matravers ([email protected]).
