New from 2025: Move to Continuous Publication Model
Effective from 1, January 2025, Diseases of the Esophagus has moved to a continuous publication model. This approach is an increasingly popular journal publication model in which completed articles are published directly into an issue online.
This means individual articles are published quickly in an “in progress” issue without waiting for completion of an entire issue. This approach eliminates the need for an “Advanced Access” queue and ensures that research is made available promptly.
DOTE will continue to release six issues annually, with set closing dates for each issue. The first issue’s closing date is February 28, 2025, and subsequent issues will close at the end of every second month.
Benefits for authors:
This means your article is immediately published into the issue with no more waiting in an Advance Access list. This also means that article indexing information is sent to abstracting and indexing databases on first publication and when the issue closes at the end of the year.
Benefits for readers:
This means a simpler reading experience for you. All articles are available in one version, one location, and citable in one way.
