Book review written by Stephan F. Gohmann, Vol 39 (2) pp. 361-368

The last paragraph of this book review should read:

In the conclusion of the book, J. Swinnen and T. Vandemoortele provide an overview of the articles and potential research questions that these articles have raised. As they state ‘beeronomics covers a vast set of economic issues: economic history, development, demand and supply, geography, trade, investment, technology, health and nutrition, quantity and quality, industrial organisation, competition, science and innovation, taxation, regulation, political economy and so on’ (p. 335). Like a high-gravity Trappist beer, Swinnen has brewed a high-quality book with a combination of many flavours of economics that can aid a researcher in the economics of beer as well as providing applied examples for anyone doing economics research in any of the areas in the quote above.
