Why Publish with in silico Plants?
in silico Plants (isP) is an open-access, peer reviewed online journal dealing with all aspects of plant modelling. The journal aims to provide a single home for work from currently disparate research areas, publishing interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary and cross-disciplinary research at the interface between mathematics, computer science, ‘omics, plant biology, crop science, ecology, and forestry.
Read on to learn more about what makes in silico Plants the perfect home for your novel computational algorithms and software, models, and tools that advance plant sciences.
Article Types
isP publishes eight article types: Original Articles, Technical Advances, Reviews, Opinions, Methods for Plant Modeling, Editorials, Letters to the Editor, and Commentaries. Because isP is multidisciplinary all articles must be accessible to a broad audience and/or plant scientists.
A Journal of Annals of Botany Company (AoB Co)
By publishing with in silico Plants you'll be associated with one of the most prestigious companies in the field, the not-for-profit Annals of Botany Company (AoB Co)
AoB Co journals support the principle and practice of rigorous external peer review and demand full traceability of all opinions advanced by the journals' contributors.
Open Access
isP is an Open Access Journal, meaning articles published in the journal are available to anyone, anywhere, free of charge. This will increase visibility and readership to a global audience.
Read & Publish Agreements
OUP has a growing number of Read and Publish (R&P) agreements with institutions and consortia to provide funding for open access publishing. This means authors of eligible article types from participating institutions can publish open access, with the host institution covering the fees.
You can find out if your institution is participating here, or find more information on Read & Publish Agreements here. Eligible authors whose articles are accepted for publication will be guided through a series of simple steps to request use of open access funds.
Distinguished and International Editorial Board
isP is edited by a panel of high-profile editors: Stephen Long (Chief, Illinois & Lancaster), Karine Chenu (Queensland), Amy Marshall-Colon (Illinois), Przemyslaw Prusinkiewicz (Calgary), and Xin-Guang Zhu (Shanghai). The team ensures the journal publishes high quality content, operates ethically, and is a welcoming publishing outlet for authors. Meet the editors here.
