In “Islands, Enclaves, and the Offshoring of Clerical Sexual Abuse,” published in this issue of the JAAR, Kevin Lewis O’Neill details the mid-twentieth-century efforts of a Roman Catholic religious order known as the Servants of the Paraclete to offshore sexually abusive priests in and then beyond the Caribbean, pushing scholars of clerical sexual abuse to engage the interstitial.
