Oxford Open Climate Change Special Collections
Collection

Solar Radiation Modification (SRM) could potentially complement efforts to mitigate climate change. However, it remains controversial, not least because of environmental and political risks. Nevertheless, global warming is risky, too. For any future decision on SRM, these risks must be balanced.
This Special Collection aims to work towards a risk-risk assessment on SRM. It welcomes articles that (1) explore specific (physical, technical, or socio-political) risks of SRM and possible ways to reduce them, and (2) develop methods to enable decision-making on SRM in the face of unresolvable uncertainties/risks.
