The journal publishes a broad array of topics relevant to the fields of physical therapy and rehabilitation. To further discuss or showcase certain topics, the journal will release thematic collections, comprised of new and previously published articles.

Featured collections

Featured collections are special issues for Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Journal, which operates on a continuous publication schedule. Topics are recommended by the Editorial Board and other colleagues. The editor-in-chief typically appoints two guest editors, who determine the theme and subtopics of the featured collection. A public call for papers is disseminated, proposals are submitted, and papers are invited. All collection papers undergo peer review.

Curated collections are groupings of previously published articles under a particular theme or topic. The Editorial team identifies a theme and selects high quality articles from recent issues to highlight the topic.
