In this special collection from NAR Cancer, we have collated a series of new review articles that focus on some of the most pressing issues in cancer biology related to current and potentially future therapeutics targeting the DNA damage response (DDR). Additionally, we have collected some previously published articles that speak to the importance of this topic as well.
