Why Publish Your Research With Postgraduate Medical Journal?
Postgraduate Medical Journal (PMJ) is an international, peer-reviewed journal published on behalf of the Fellowship of Postgraduate Medicine. Dedicated to supporting junior doctors and their teachers, PMJ publishes papers that are wide-ranging, but focused on facilitating continuous professional development (CPD) in core clinical competencies. PMJ further supports this CPD by encouraging junior doctors to publish articles including original clinical research and editorials.
In 2025, the PMJ launched an Acute Medicine section with a focus on articles for professionals in acute medical care. Led by Dr Tim Cooksley, this section aims to support higher-quality care for acute medical patients with an emphasis on patient safety & improved outcomes for patients. The Acute Medicine section aims to expand the Journal’s readership to health policymakers and to promote evidence-based best practice in urgent and emergency care.
