About the journal
Skin Health and Disease is the British Association of Dermatologists’ first fully open access interdisciplinary Journal. We cover the fully breadth of dermatology from case reports to basic science and from patient perspectives to translational research. We particularly encourage interdisciplinary research to improve patient outcomes and research focussing on the maintenance of skin health across the lifespan.
We publish research articles, reviews, case reports, patient perspectives, method papers, protocols, negative studies and pilot studies that demonstrate robust methodology, scientific validity and reliability. Our Images in Dermatology section publishes exemplar clinical photographs and novel scientific images, seeking to redress the lack of representative images of skin of colour in the existing literature.
All papers undergo rigorous and fast peer review, as well as rapid publication.
