Prevention Special Collection Feature Image.png The Journal of Integrated Pest Management is pleased to publish a special collection of research on prevention. Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is an environmentally friendly, science-based, decision-making process that combines biological, cultural, physical, and chemical tools to identify, manage, and reduce risk from pests and pest management tools and strategies in a way that minimizes overall economic, health, and environmental risks. Employing IPM strategies is a means of solving pest problems in a way that uses the most effective, least risky option. Specific IPM strategies are selected based on crop/pest/environment settings but should all be based on what is commonly referred to as the “PAMS approach.”
